Terms of Service

1. The service

Open Bee AI provides a hosted multi-provider chat surface, Visual Mode, Mission Control task runner, and an open-source agent daemon. We add features and fix bugs continuously; we'll give you 30 days notice before removing a feature you depend on.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA).
• You're responsible for everything done under your account.
• One human, one account. Workspaces can have multiple members; users cannot pool a single login.
• Don't share API keys publicly. Treat them like passwords.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use Open Bee to:

• Generate content that's illegal in your jurisdiction or ours, including CSAM, terrorism propaganda, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Attempt to bypass safety filters of upstream LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google).
• Send spam or run automated abuse against third parties.
• Reverse-engineer the hosted service. (The agent daemon source is Apache-2.0 — fork away.)
• Resell the platform without a Team or Enterprise plan.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules without refund. Egregious violations get reported to relevant authorities.

4. Plans & billing

• Pricing is published at openbee.ai/#pricing. We may adjust pricing with 30 days notice; existing subscribers keep the lower price for one full term.
• Billing handled by Stripe. Charges renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in Settings → Billing.
• Refunds: prorated within 14 days of upgrade if you've used less than 25% of the period's quota. After that we're a "no refund, just cancel" shop, in line with industry norm.
• Per-model rate limits are listed on each plan card. Going over a limit gives you a friendly error, not a surprise charge.

5. Your content

You own everything you create on Open Bee — prompts, generated text, Visual Mode artefacts, mission outputs. We get a narrow license to store, process, and display it solely to operate the service for you. That license terminates when you delete the content or close your account.

We do not train any model on your content. See Privacy Policy §3 for details.

6. The agent daemon (open-bee)

The open-bee CLI is licensed under Apache-2.0, separately from these terms. It runs on your machine, connects outbound to our cloud, and never accepts inbound connections. You are responsible for the security of the machine it runs on.

7. Third-party providers

When you use a model, your prompts are sent to that provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google) under their terms. In BYOK mode, you bring your own provider account; in shared mode, we route via ours. Provider outages, content policies, and pricing changes are outside our control — we'll keep you informed.

8. Warranties & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the prior 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Open Bee AI for third-party claims arising from your misuse of the service or content you generate that violates these terms.

10. Termination

• You may close your account any time. We honor erasure within 30 days.
• We may close accounts for unpaid invoices (after 14 days notice) or acceptable-use violations (immediate, with refund of unused balance where required by law).

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes go to the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). Consumers in jurisdictions with mandatory consumer protection (EU, UK, Australia, Indonesia, etc.) keep their statutory rights regardless.

12. Changes

Material changes are emailed and shown in-app 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
